Work on lakefront properties
Call your municipality prior to starting any kind of work which will take place close to a lake. Authorization from the municipality is necessary before beginning any work. All homeowners or contractors who commence work without authorization will be penalized.

Construction or renovation permits
A permit is necessary for any construction or renovation. Please call the Town Planning Department for an appointment to obtain a permit.

Winter Carports
Are authorized between November 1st and April 15th of the following year. However, some rules must be respected regarding the distance between the carport and the main road. Please call your municipality for further information. An extension until April 30th may be given if the support of your carport is jammed due to ice during a particularly hard winter season. However, after this date, penalties could apply to offenders.

Garage Sales
Are permitted twice yearly for a period of two consecutive days. However, you must advise the Town Planning Department, even though it is not necessary to obtain a permit or certificate. To advertise a garage sale, you may put up a sign on a street post close to where the garage sale will be held. However, this sign must be installed the day before the event and removed after the event.
